‘Mismanaged’ presidential debates cast doubt on Indonesia’s election commission: Experts

JAKARTA - Last-minute format changes and the lack of clarity surrounding Indonesia’s highly anticipated presidential debates have cast doubt on the ability and impartiality of its election commission, say experts.

The first of the five televised debates is set to kick off on Dec 12, but the General Elections Commission (KPU) has yet to fully reveal details, including who will be its moderators or panellists.
