SINGAPORE – Station wagons are rare in Singapore, estimated to account for less than 2 per cent of the passenger car population. Even rarer is one that is driven solely by hand.

The owner of one such wagon is 53-year-old Thirunavukarasu Sundaram Pillay, or Dr Thiru as he is often called.
