Home-grown actor Desmond Tan did not win his Star Award for Best Actor in April for eating sashimi.

The 31-year-old, who made headlines for chowing down on raw fish for his army sergeant role in the Channel 8 drama When Duty Calls, tells The Straits Times that it was far from a pleasant gourmet meal.
