E-commerce risks becoming scam central with proliferation of bots

Platforms and online services must do more to tackle the scourge of scammers using bots in innovative ways to lure users.

Singapore has been grooving to the different beats and styles of several A-list musical acts in just the first quarter of 2024. Bruno Mars was among the latest to perform in Singapore after Coldplay, Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift.

While these concerts have brought joy to tens of thousands of fans, some have suffered as victims of ticket scams on e-commerce platforms.
