Singapore should aim for zero road death, says safety champion

SINGAPORE - Zero road death may not be easily achievable but Singapore should still aim for it, says Mr Bernard Tay, chairman of the Singapore Road Safety Council.

"We should have Vision Zero," Mr Tay said, referring to a political initiative started in Sweden in the 1990s and adopted by countries such as Canada, the Netherlands, the United States and Britain.
